let there be no monument

When I die,
let there be no monument.

Let there be no place to visit,
my grave.

Let their be no green grass
for the sexton to mow.

May I be forgotten,
to be remembered no more.

No place to plant,
the flowers, or mourn my loss.

To be forgotten forever more.

Let my monument be the lives,
of my children and grandchild.

Scatter my ashes among my ancestors,
in Grants Ward, where I will be with them, again.

To forever be with Grandma Lauretta,
and her final child.

With momma and my youngest sibling.

To be remembered by them,
forever more.
